Miller, Acadia Parish were recently Agriscience Instructor at Raync flii ff a a v4 r- -t "Nsseii i n-j V1" Member Award.

Bradley A. Leger, Agriscience Instructor at Midland High School, also received top state honors in the NVATA Outstanding Agriculture Education Teacher Award. These awards were presented at the Annual Louisiana Vocational Agriculture Teachers' Association (LVATA) Conference held in New Orleans August 5-7, .1992. Both Miller and Leger are very active in school and community activiucs as well as their professional organizations. They serve as Advisors to very successful and active FFA Chapters at their respective schools.

Miller currently serves as the LVATA Area III Membership Vice President and LVATA Executive Committee. Leger currently serves as a member of the LVATA Executive Committee, LVATA Past President, and Co-Chairman of the Louisiana Vocational Association Legislative Committee. Miller's award, which is sponsored by John Deere, in cooperation with the NVATA, is a means of encouraging young teachers to remain in the profession and to encourage and recognize participation in professional activities. Legcr's award, which is sponsored by Ford New Holland, also in cooperation with the NVATA, distinguishes, NVATA members who are at the pinnacle of their profession those conducting the highest quality agricultural education programs. The award recognizes leadership in civic, community, agriscienceagribusincss, and professional activities.
