A lifelong resident of Rapides Parish he was a retired inspector and brakeman for Union Pacific Railroad, a decon of Little Rock Baptist Church for many years. Burial was held at Bayou Jack Baptist Cemetery in Dupont. Arrangements are held under the direction of Escude Funeral Home of Mansura. Bordelon, age 66, of Plaucheville, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Valley View Nursing Home. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sirus Barletta and Myrtle Scafetti Barletta; and one son, Kirt Bordelon.

Survivors include her husband, Otride Bordelon of Marksville; two daughters, Susan Messer of Plaucheville and Lula Reason of Harvey; four Clinton Bordelon of Marksville, Ronnie Bordelon of Mansura, Richard Bordelon of Echo and Donald Bordelon of Plaucheville; two sisters, Nora Mitchell of Tuscola, Minnesota and Louise Rivera of Covington; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Foster Albert Calcote, Jr. BUNKIE Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Foster Albert (F.A.) Calcote, were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 18, 2010 at First Baptist Church, Bunkie with Dr. LaMon Brown and Dr.

Donald Hall officiating. Interment was' held at Morrow Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie. Mr. Calcote, a prominent Central Louisiana educator and farmer-rancher died peacefully at his home on Shirley Road, Bunkie Thursday afternoon, December 16, 2010 after a courageous battle with colon cancer, surrounded by his loving family. Mr.

Calcote was a graduate of SLI Lafayette and LSU Baton Rouge. After graduating from college he THE went to work for LSU and helped to establish some of the first artificial units of dairy cattle in the state of Louisiana. Mr. Calcote then went into public education becoming a teacher, assistant principal then principal. During this time he owned Calcote Insurance Agency representing the Hartford and Travelers Insurance Companies.

Retiring after 33 years in education, Mr. Calcote became a farmer and rancher. Raising quarter horses and corriente cattle was one of his favorite enterprises. Mr. Calcote was an avid outdoorsman and hunter.

He was the owner of CenLA Kennels where he raised and trained more than one National Field Trial Champion hound. He shipped dogs all over the world with many going to Trinidad. One of Mr. Calcote's proudest moments was when he was invited to give the Invocation at a National Field Trial Banquet. By special invitation, Mr.

Calcote and his bird dogs often bird hunted on the King's Ranch in Texas. Mr. Calcote, a licensed auctioneer, enjoyed auctioneering for the local Ducks Unlimited banquets. Most of all, Mr. Calcote loved riding horseback with his pack of hounds while deer hunting.

Mr. Calcote, a dedicated Christian, showed his commitment to his God by the way he lived. He was a deacon at First Baptist Bunkie and a faithful choir member for over 50 years. He was also church treasurer, taught Sunday school and was chairman of the Insurance Committee for many years. One of his strong beliefs was "you can't out give God." Mr.

Calcote is preceded in death by his father, Foster Calcote, and his mother, Ada Sadler Calcote; his sisters, Maxine Calcote and Verna Calcote Wallace. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Doris Haw Calcote; his daughters, Jan Calcote Wolff and Fay Calcote Hall; his sons-inlaw, Charles Rand Wolff and Kenneth Wayne Hall; Poppa's four adored granddaughters, Courtney Fay Wolff, Cammi Wolff, Emily Blaise Hall and Kelsi Lea and a sister; Marline Calcote Toler. Pallbearers honored to serve were Larry Haw, Thomas Land, David Toler, Gregory Wallace, Mark Wallace and Tom Wolff. Honorary pallbearers were his deacon friends. Chenevert ALEXANDRIA A 1 Mass of Christian Burial for Marion Siemann Chenevert was held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, December 20, 2010, in St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church with her great nephew, Rev. Interment was held in Alexandria Memorial Gardens, Woodworth under the direction of John Kramer and Son. Marion Siemann Chenevert, age 69, of Alexandria, passed away Friday, December 17, 2010 in her residence. Mrs. Chenevert retired from the State of Louisiana after 33 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all that she touched.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Curt J. and Hazel Armand Siemann of Cottonport. Marion Chenevert is survived by her husband of 49 years, Frank Chenevert, three children, Celeste Chenevert Murphy (Scott A. Murphy) of Baton Rouge, Stephanie Chenevert Ray of Alexandria and Frank 0. He was very much loved by everyone that crossed his path, and will truly be missed by all. He will be remembered for his love of hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He will also be remembered for the excitement he had watching Dallas Cowboys football. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert "Judge" and Grace Kimble, and Charley F. Adams, Sr.

Entombment was held in the St. Alphonsus Mausoleum under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie. Mrs. Mitchell, age 91, of Hessmer, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2010 in the Hessmer Nursing Home. She was born on December 14, 1919.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Amet Mitchell; and a daughter, Geneva Mitchell.
